Eurofins Mechem is an innovative laboratory in Singapore specializing in both chemical and microbiological parameters required for Bunker Oil and Environmental (soil, water and industrial waste) testing.
Having been providing sampling and analytical testing services for over 30 years, the ISO 17025 accredited laboratory serve a vast range of testing to various clients round the globe, which include local private entities as well as government agencies. Eurofins Mechem services are best catered for maritime clients.
Maritime Services
- Bunker oil fuel quality analyses as per ISO 8217 standards, as well as advanced investigative GCMS ASTM D7845 & FTIR tests for bunker contaminants. Pre-bunkering tests & chemical contaminants screening are also available.
- Various types of water e.g. potable water, sewage water, scrubber wash water (adhering to US VGP standard) and ballast water. Ballast water detailed analyses which are IMO-D2 and US VGP compliant, as well as commissioning tests for ballast water are also offered.
- IHM compliance survey to ships. As of 31 December 2020, those flying the flag of an EU/EEA member state will be issued the IHM Certificate, whereas those flying the flag of a third country (non-EU/EEA flag) but visiting EU/EEA ports or anchorage will be issued the IHM Statement of Compliance (SoC).
